SHIPPING POLICY
Processing Time: Please allow 3-5 business days for us to make, pour, cure, and pack your order. During the holidays or busy seasons, it may take up to 7 business days. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking once your order ships.
How We Ship: We ship from Michigan via USPS Ground Advantage / Priority Mail. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on weight and distance. We pack all glass spray bottles and candles with extra padding to prevent breakage.
Summer / Heat Advisory: Soaps, salves, and candles can soften or melt in high heat. We pack with care, but we are not responsible for heat damage after the carrier picks up the package or if it sits in a hot mailbox. If it's over 80°F in your area, please consider expedited shipping or choose local pickup.
Delivery Times: After shipment, USPS typically delivers in 3-7 business days. These are estimates and not guaranteed.
Local Pickup: Free local pickup is available in the Baldwin / Putman Lake area. Select "Local Pickup" at checkout and we will email you to arrange a pickup time.
International: We do not ship outside the U.S. at this time.
RETURN & EXCHANGE POLICY
For health and safety reasons, we cannot accept returns on bath and body products that have been opened or used.
All sales are final on opened/used/burned: soaps, body sprays, salves, and candles. We cannot resell these items for hygiene reasons.
We WILL replace or exchange when:
- Item arrives damaged: If your candle broke or your spray leaked in transit, please email us within 48 hours of delivery at HomemadeatPutmanLake@gmail.com with your order number and a photo of the damage. We will replace it at no cost.
- We made a mistake: If we sent the wrong scent or product, contact us within 7 days and we will correct it with a replacement or refund.
How to start a return or exchange:
Email HomemadeatPutmanLake@gmail.com with your order number, a photo if damaged, and what you'd like us to do.
Approved returns must be unused and in original packaging. Buyer pays return shipping unless the damage or error was ours. Refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5 business days of receiving the return. Original shipping cost is non-refundable.
Good to Know:
- Each handmade batch is unique - color, swirls, and frosting on soaps and candles may vary.
- Please check ingredient lists for allergies. For external use only. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.
- For longest life: keep soaps in a draining dish, store salves in a cool place, and never leave candles burning unattended.
